Game Development

A topic for those who are developing and/or helping develop a game. I’m currently working on an RPG game called Maestro which hopefully will come out pretty good. :stuck_out_tongue:

How do people make games. I wanna make one :frowning:

They download engines like Unity or RPG Maker. Unity’s actually a pretty fun one to mess around with, though I can’t figure out how to code anything inside it (probably because I don’t know how to code for shit :P).

So uh… When do I make the music? :stuck_out_tongue:

You can start now if you’d like, Aliens. I’ll have to master all music turned into me provided they aren’t already mastered.

I always master my music, so you won’t have to master mine.

What kind of genre do you desire?

I’m going to want songs ranging from Chill-Out (for important moments) to Electro-House (battle areas). I’ve already got a song for the end of the game picked out at the moment, I just need some others for the stuff inbetween.

What about exploring? What genre would you need for that?

Exploration is an aspect that’s usually in RPG and Adventure games.

What kind of game is Maestro?

An RPG Adventure game. I’m planning on adding enough exploration that it’ll be fun, but not so much where the player is overwhelmed with how big the world is in the game.

So… Is there going to be a specific genre for exploration?

The only thing I can say for exploration is that it’s better if you put it in a free roam environment.

Mali’s joined the crew for helping with song creatin.

Should I go for the 8-bit or the regular instrumental music?

I try to make rpg/sandbox games, but I mostly make mods which could be considered making a game.
